Senior Facilities Manager - Rail Project
EWI are seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and manage all facilities-related aspects of a major freight and passenger rail project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an urgent requirement for a leading European consultancy engaged in delivering world-class rail solutions in the Middle East.
Oversee the operational management and maintenance of rail facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with international standards.
Develop and implement facility management strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of rail projects.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of facilities management within the project lifecycle.
Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement processes related to facility operations.
Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing strategic guidance and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and performance evaluations of facilities to maintain optimal functioning and safety.
Liaise with stakeholders, including government entities, contractors, and consultants, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Implement sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:Degree-qualified in Engineering/Rail Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
A minimum of 20 years' overall experience, with at least 10 years' experience in the rail sector.
Proven experience in a leadership role, with at least 5 years at the same level within large-scale infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of international standards and best practices in facilities management for rail projects.
Strong understanding of operational requirements for freight and passenger rail systems.
Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and collaboration within complex, multicultural environments.
Skills and Attributes:Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experience Resident Engineer with strong experience elevated stations for the construction phase of a major Rail project in Manila.

This would be a fantastic opportunity to join an international team of engineers working on a high-profile project in the Philippines and play a key role in its successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
The successful individual will have experience of all aspects including Architecture, Structure, MEP & Railway systems within a station environment. They shall be supervising the construction of a number of Elevated Stations providing interface across the various specialist and contractors. A strong Contract knowledge would be beneficial in order to support the Project controls team respond to claims.
Key responsibility of the role shall include:
Lead the construction supervision task teams. Ensure all deliverables are prepared in accordance with quality and time constraints.Ensure full and detailed permanent site records, which will include site correspondence, survey data, quality acceptance data, site diaries, measurement and certification, minutes of meetings, and records of all other contractually relevant matters.Ensure that all supervision team members undertake comprehensive day-to-day field construction supervision, quality assurance, measurements, and administration services at the siteInstruct and advise all supervision team members to maintain full and detailed permanent site records, which will include site correspondence, survey data, quality acceptance data, site diaries, measurement and certification, minutes of meetings, and records of all other contractually relevant matters.Receive, assess, and approve the contractors' implementation work plans and programmes.Ensure that the rehabilitation works are executed in accordance with all the provisions of the contract, including those relevant standards of workmanship, and other safety provisions and protection of the environment.Review of the detailed engineering design and construction plan (including shop drawings and method statements) for the Station and Mainline Traction Substation (MTS) Building structures.Review of the contractors' work plan and identifying the feasibility of their work method statements.Evaluation of claims, variations orders and value engineering proposals submitted by the contractors.Coordinating and interfacing with architectural, E&M &Track teams on matters relating to the Station and MTS Buildings.Assisting the QA/QC team, and material engineers on various Station and MTS Building structures technical matters.
Key requirements for the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.Over 10 years of experience in design and Construction of Buildings.Over 5 years of experience in design and/or Construction of elevated railway stations.
Language:
Fluency in English writing and communication
Salary Package:
The salary for this position is likely to be $8,000 & $10,000 TAX FREE per month with an additional $3,000 for allowances.
