RAMS Experts - Riyadh & Dubai | Leading European Consultancies
We're partnered with two leading European consultancies to recruit experienced RAMS Experts for major rail infrastructure projects in the Middle East. These are long-term roles offering involvement in complex and high-profile rail developments.
Position 1: RAMS Expert - Railway Project (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)Project Type: High-speed rail, mainline, conventional, or freight (urban metro/tram experience not applicable)
Location: Riyadh, KSA
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive RAMS strategies for mainline/HSR/freight systemsLead and coordinate safety assurance and RAMS activities in accordance with international standards (e.g., EN 50126/8/9, CENELEC)Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, etc.)Interface with engineering, operations, and client teams to ensure safety requirements are met throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and deliver technical reports, safety cases, and documentation for relevant authorities and stakeholdersSupport independent safety assessment and audits as requiredCandidate Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or related discipline15+ years of experience, with at least 10 years in RAMS on non-urban railway projectsStrong background in high-speed, mainline, freight, or conventional rail systemsMetro/tram-only experience will not be consideredPrior experience in KSA or a transferable Iqama is highly desirable Position 2: RAMS Expert - Metro Project (Dubai, UAE)Project Type: Metro
Location: Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
Lead RAMS activities across all project phases for metro systemsDefine RAMS requirements and ensure integration into the design and engineering processesConduct and validate system safety analyses, including hazard logs and safety assessmentsCollaborate closely with design, operations, and assurance teams to meet RAMS objectivesPrepare RAMS plans, safety cases, and interface with local authorities where requiredSupport system validation, commissioning, and handoverCandidate Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or related field15+ years of total experience, with at least 10 years on metro projectsMinimum 5 years in a RAMS expert or lead RAMS roleFamiliarity with international and regional safety standards and practicesGCC experience preferred
