Job Overview:
We are working with an international OEM to recruit a SCADA Engineer for a contract opportunity focused on Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems in the wind industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and maintenance of SCADA systems for wind farm projects, ensuring smooth operation and real-time monitoring of T&D systems from wind turbines to the grid.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement SCADA systems for T&D infrastructure in onshore and offshore wind farms.Perform system integration testing (SIT) to ensure the SCADA system is properly integrated with electrical systems, including substations and grid connections.Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA system issues, focusing on T&D infrastructure and wind farm network performance.Monitor and optimize the performance of SCADA systems to ensure reliable data collection, reporting, and real-time system control.Work closely with project teams, OEMs, and contractors to ensure SCADA systems meet project specifications and industry standards.Develop and maintain technical documentation for SCADA systems, including configuration reports, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance plans.Provide training and support to operations and maintenance teams on SCADA systems for T&D networks.Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, safety procedures, and client specifications.Requirements:

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Protection & Control (P&C) Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a major onshore substation project in Europe. The role will focus on the commissioning of protection relays, control systems, and automation interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and operation within high-voltage environments.
This is a long-term contract role, ideal for an experienced commissioning engineer seeking a technically challenging position in a dynamic project setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute commissioning activities related to protection relays, control systems, and SCADA interfaces within substations.Perform functional testing, logic checks, and configuration of protection devices (e.g. distance, differential, overcurrent, etc.).Interface with engineering and construction teams to validate protection and control schemes.Support the energization process and ensure all systems operate safely and as designed.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during testing and commissioning.Ensure all commissioning documentation is accurately completed, including test reports, punch lists, and system sign-offs.Follow project-specific procedures and applicable industry standards for safety and compliance.Collaborate closely with the Commissioning Manager and wider project team to meet commissioning deadlines.Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Protection & Control commissioning within HV substation or transmission projects.Solid hands-on experience with protection relays (e.g. SEL, ABB, Siemens, GE Multilin, etc.).Familiarity with grid automation, including SCADA systems, IEDs, and substation control networks.Strong understanding of electrical protection principles and relay coordination.Ability to read and interpret protection and control schematics.Knowledge of European grid standards and utility commissioning protocols.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Contract Details:

Develop and validate protection settings for relays (e.g., GE, ABB, Siemens, SEL).
Produce and interpret protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support engineering teams through FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot protection system issues during testing and commissioning phases.
Ensure adherence to applicable standards (IEC, IEEE) and project-specific requirements.
