Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HV Switchgear Specialist to support multiple high-voltage (HV) projects across the UK and Europe. This is a field-based role focused on installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage switchgear equipment on substations and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and perform installation, commissioning, and functional testing of HV switchgear systems (72.5kV - 420kV).
Provide technical support during outages, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and commissioning logs.
Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and industry standards.
Required Experience:
Strong experience with GE high-voltage switchgear equipment (such as DT1-145, T155, and other OEM variants).
Minimum 5 years of field experience in HV substations.
Solid understanding of HV electrical protection, control, and interlocking systems.
Experience working to IEC and EN standards.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent vocational training).
Relevant site safety certifications (e.g., CSCS, ECS, or equivalent).
Fluent English; other European languages a plus.
Right to work in the UK and/or EU.
