Role Overview:
We are hiring experienced HV GIS Specialists to support the delivery of complex substation and utility projects across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth experience working with GE Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems and be comfortable working in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and perform the installation, commissioning, and testing of HV GIS (132kV - 420kV) systems.

Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with OEM procedures and quality standards.

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and operation phases.

Work with project engineers and site managers to ensure timelines and specifications are met.

Maintain comprehensive site documentation and commissioning records.

Required Experience:

Hands-on experience with GE GIS systems (e.g., B65, GHA, or similar platforms).

Minimum 5 years of HV GIS field experience in a utility or EPC environment.

Familiarity with partial discharge testing, gas handling (SF6), and HV test protocols.

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering qualification (BSc, HNC, or NVQ Level 3+).

GIS OEM training certificates highly desirable.

Valid site safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, HSG47, or local equivalents).

Eligible to work in the UK/EU without sponsorship.
