Intelligent Transport Systems & Tolling Specialist - America

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Intelligent Transport Systems & Tolling Specialist providing field engineering, cost engineering, estimating and engineering support.


My client is a leading Engineering firm who are carrying out a major Road/ Bridge/ Tunnel expansion project in Eastern USA.

Responsibilities on the project:

  • Prepare scopes, review RFP documents and review, comment on accuracy and negotiate subcontracts scopes and RFI's.
  • Prepare field sketches for electrical systems and narratives for construction personnel.
  • Coordinate with multiple design disciplines during the design phase, including coordinating with electrical teams in various segments of the project.
  • Compile drawings and specifications for ITS and Electrical systems that will be used in deliverable packages sent to sub-contractors for bidding.
  • Review drawings for interferences and constructability during design and construction
  • Develop a thorough understanding of construction processes to assist in increasing efficiency of production and schedule, and reducing construction costs.
  • Tracking and forecasting quantities; takeoffs and estimating assignments; creation of as-built drawings using AutoCAD; Material submittals
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the contract requirements, become familiar and confident in understanding design build process, requirements for temporary relocations, permanent design, identify conflicts with other disciplines, environmental and safety requirements.
  • Reviews project schedule updates weekly for owner and management reporting. Attends weekly regular meetings where required and presents on project production status as
  • Supports engineering team with quality assurance as needed. Reviews certificates and permits needed to perform work.
  • Assists the project team with project schedule, budget and cost parameters by providing technical input as needed.
  • Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.

Key requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
  • 6+ years construction engineering experience required.
  • Previous Electrical, ITS and/or tolling experience on large scale transportation projects
  • Solid understanding of civil work, drainage, earthwork operations, sequencing of work, ITS systems, power distribution and a general understanding of the codes/guidelines related to highway electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in America



Salary Package:

The salary on offer shall be flexible but expected to be in the region of $120 - 130,000 per year.
