Systems Engineering Manager: HS2

My client is a leading international technical consultancy who are working currently on the HS2 project. They have a need in their project team for a Systems Engineering Manager with strong knowledge of top down systems engineering approach to integration and delivery. The ideal candidate would also be a great communicator with strong stakeholder management and client facing skills.

This is a permanent job based in either London Birmingham and pays a good basic salary and benefits package.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management life cycle processes and activities.

Systems and software engineering - System life cycle processes.

Be able to perform top down systems engineering approach that considers the System as a whole (not a collection of individual E&M systems, or projects).

Experience in the application of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 quality and configuration management tasks.

Have appreciation of full project life-cycle from design, construction, testing, commissioning and delivery.

Some duties of the task holder include but not limited to

Specify the engineering and assurance processes

Requirements management

Design Interface management, and overall project Systems Integration of different E&M systems

Systems Architecture Definition

Verification and validation management

Change management

Configuration management

Reliability, availability and maintainability management

Requirements:

Degree qualified candidate in Engineering or Science based discipline

10+ years in Systems Engineering process

5+ years in specific railway systems engineering roles including integration and requirements management.

Knowledge of Systems Engineering methods, tools, software and processes

Proactive. Can-do attitude.

Fluent English and good communicator

Desired requirement: Member or qualification of INCOSE
