Project Manager - Hydropower - Developer

As Project Manager you will be responsible for the Philippines hydro portfolio. You will join the business at an very exciting time with an aggressive growth plan.

Client Profile: Energy Developer with portfolio of projects in Asia and Africa, investment, development, construction and operation.

General Duties:

  • Manager responsible to be the technical lead for the hydro portfolio projects in the Philippines.
  • Provide technical support and advice on projects currently in construction.
  • Lead overall direction of projects for delivery that are currently in development, taking them into construction, with appropriate contracting, EPC providers, and project management teams in place.
  • Agreeing project objectives and developing Scope of Work documentation and Terms of Reference for contractors and consultants.
  • Providing leadership and direction on all project aspects of the portfolio investments and work closely with the local project teams towards successful development, implementation and operational management of projects.
  • Providing advice on the management of projects to other team members.
  • Overseeing, organising and coordinating with portfolio team members, consultants, construction team and contractors to efficiently deliver projects on time and in budget.
  • Participating in project cash flow forecasting to ensure all current and future cash demands are fully understood and communicated on a timely basis.
  • Conducting and/or facilitating the necessary project risk assessments.
  • Ensuring that all projects have the requisite Quality Plans in place and that they are correctly implemented on site.
  • Assessing the capability and engage the services of specialists and sub- contractors, as and if required.
  • Support the robust procurement of best value services, material and equipment required to successfully execute projects.
  • Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Assessing contractor and supplier claims for payment and managing construction project budgets.

Investment Activities

  • As required, participate in project due diligence in relation to technical and operational aspects of potential projects / investment opportunities on a timely basis
  • Participate in the development of relevant Investment Committee documentation for assessment of prospective investment opportunities
  • Participate in lender processes, for securing and managing debt finance for the company's projects

Location: Philippines, with base in Manilla. (Required to travel across project sites as required)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary Package: US$ 200,000 per annum Gross (inclusive of the 13th month payment as per Philippines law)

Tax: Please note that this is not a expatriate salary and you will have to pay local taxes and accommodation. Figures are quoted gross and are subject to taxes to be paid in line with Philippine requirements.
