HSE Advisor - Wind Farm Project - Italian speakers required

Job description

EWI are currently looking for a HSE Advisor that has previous experience working on a wind farm project. The role will also involve assisting the site teams and managers by recognising hazards and seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining and improving the health, safety, environmental and Quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Construction Project Leader to ensure the good operation of the Project and the fulfillment of all the aspects related to health, safety and environment.
  • Inspect the characteristics of the site and adapt the PSS generated for the development of the activity in the wind farm to the particularities of it. As well as implant the specific environmental management plan for each wind farm.
  • Perform Safety and Environmental Inspections to the work carried out in the wind farm and the general conditions of health, safety and environment.
  • Collect and verify that the safety documentation of the personnel under the supervision of the client that will participate in the work, required by the internal procedure of the client for the Coordination of Activities in Wind Farm (training, medical skills, delivery of PPE's, etc.) is correctly presented
  • Collect information from subcontractors regarding consumption, waste, etc.
  • Organize a weekly meeting of the contractors involved in the work, in which conduct training / information to all workers who usually participate in it, of the risks that may involve the peculiarities of assembly and awareness environmental. In addition, issues such as incidents occurred, corrective actions, etc. will be discussed.
  • Prepare the wind farm Preventive Action Plan, keeping it up to date and following up on the weekly meetings of Safety and Health and Environment in work.
  • Fill in the "Meeting Report on Prevention of Occupational Risks in Wind Farm", reflecting in it what was discussed in the weekly meetings with the contracts that intervene in the work.
  • Be present during the construction phases of the "full time" wind farm, and check that all client contracts comply with the requirements of the Security Plan and Health, in the Evaluation of Risks for the Construction of Wind Farms and in the Plan of environmental management, and in particular, must be present in those operations that involve special risks or the need for business coordination, such as manipulation of loads in assembly of sections, nacelle or rotor and shall coordinate the Preventive Resources appointed by subcontracting companies to ensure that all operations with risk are supervised.
  • Fill the "Work Visit Part in Wind Farm" daily, reflecting in it the inspected works and possible incidents that may occur, or the absence of the same in your case.
  • Monitor compliance with the preventive measures established for the development of the work through the application of the "Construction Safety Inspection of wind farm". Software designed for this purpose will be used as an application method for the inspection (Altair).
  • Communicate the HSE deviations detected by the registry included in the Regulation of Coordination of Activities (printed RCA-11). Notice will be given to the contract for detection of the deviation and the correct form in which it must proceed, leaving collected in said record this communication and reflected in the Software (Altair).
  • Stop work in the face of the detection of a serious and imminent risk to the health of the workers or to impact gravantly on the environment or deviations serious or very serious.
  • Participate in the investigation of any accident that occurred between the personnel themselves or contracted by the client, supporting the CPL in said investigation and including it in Altair. Ensure, in addition, that when required, notice is given to the labor authority, on the of the contracts involved.
  • At the end of the working week, send the Project Director, the H&S Construction Coordinator and the Environment Coordinator of the client, all the information elaborated and collected.
  • Archive all the originals of the weekly reports and the records that have been published on paper form, as well as the safety documentation of the personnel participating in the work. All this information should always be available in the wind farm before a possible request from the client, from Labor Inspectorate or Health and Safety Coordinator during the execution of the work.
  • Collect the calculation of the loss ratios of each month of the different contracts that take part in work according to the tool defined by the client.
  • Contact the Emergency Services near the wind farm sites, to know your ability to respond to an Emergency


  • Must be fluent in Italian and English
  • Must have previous wind farm experience
  • Office and IT knowledge
  • University career in Health and Safety
  • Valid GWO training
  • Knowledge in environmental management
  • Compliance with Minimum Legal Requirements formative requirements of the country
